Originality of Submissions, Copyright, and Disclosure

Only original, unpublished work will be considered for ICCD. Papers submitted to ICCD that are substantial duplications of work already published or currently under review by another conference, journal, or magazine will be summarily rejected.

Authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with appropriate copyright laws and obtaining permission for use of any non-original text, diagrams, or charts in their submission. Authors should obtain the necessary organizational approval for publication of their work prior to submission to ICCD.

The submitted manuscript should closely reflect the final paper as it will appear in the Proceedings, which will be in IEEE double column format. The international review committee will accept papers either as Regular Papers (6 pages included with registration fee + up to 2 extra pages at additional charge), or Short Papers (3 pages included with registration fee + up to 1 extra page at additional charge). The program committee will give preference to papers that (excluding references, figures, and tables) do not exceed 3000 words to clearly present the work, methods, results, originality, significance, superiority, and applications of the techniques discussed.

Please format your paper as described in the IEEE Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines.

Authors should remove all identifying information from the submitted paper to allow for anonymous review.

Electronic Submission

The paper submission and review will be conducted using the START conference manager. Papers should be submitted in either Postscript or PDF format. The link to the START conference manager will be posted shortly.

Questions about the submission procedure may be sent to: Pranav Ashar, ashar@realintent.com

Paper acknowledgements will be sent to all authors. If you do not receive an acknowledgement, please send e-mail immediately to: Pranav Ashar, ashar@realintent.com

Speaker Presentation Guide

The conference includes both regular papers (30 minutes) and short papers (15 minutes). Please allocate three to five minutes for questions.

The conference sessions within each track will be either 90 or 120 minutes. Special sessions and invited papers may have a different duration. Your presentation should be given from your own laptop computer. A video projector will be provided in each session room. Laser pointers will be available at the podium. Please note that ICCD does not support using transparencies or 35mm slides.

Guidelines for preparing your presentation charts

  • Use large, bold fonts as much as possible

  • Use fonts that display well at low resolution. Sans serif fonts such as "Helvetica'' work better than ones with detailed features such as "Times''

  • Avoid using busy foils; incorporate one idea per slide and use less text and more pictures

  • Avoid using the bottom of slides since the rooms are flat

  • Use simple and contrasting colors. Avoid using red over blue or vice versa

  • Pay attention to contrast, employ light-on-dark, or dark-on-light in all text and diagrams

While attending the conference, there will be a room available to check your presentation. Each session is moderated by a session chair, who can also assist with any questions. Please prepare a brief (two or three sentence) biography for your session chair to introduce you.

For contact information on your session chair, or if you have any special audiovisual presentation requirement, please send email to the Technical Program Chair:
