HOTEL INFORMATION

The conference hotel is the Mövenpick Hotel in Amsterdam. Its location is 15 minutes walking from the central railway station. Important: This is a non-smoking hotel. Reservations can be made using a special ICCD 2010 conference rate of 169 Euro per night. Follow these instructions to do so. We are aware that the hotel was late in providing this link and some might have already booked their stay at the conference hotel. For those, please contact the hotel directly (hotel.amsterdam@moevenpick.com) and they will rebook you using the reduced rate. NOTE: We have to note that from time to time, the hotel might have special discounted offers (not controlled by hotel, but the hotel chain headquarters) that could be lower or close to the mentioned conference rate – in these cases, rebooking is not possible.

HOW TO GET THERE?

By plane:

Schiphol (AMS) is the Amsterdam airport. There are direct trains from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station, every couple of minutes.

By train:

Amsterdam Central Station can be easily reached by trein from Brussels, Paris, Koln and others cities of Begium, France and Germany. Please visit Thalys for detailed information.

From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol:

    • 30 minutes by taxi. A taxi to the Conference Location should cost from 21 (Schipol Travel Taxi shared) to 46 (Schipol Travel Taxi private) euros.
    • Direct train link to Amsterdam Central Station. Departure every 5 minutes; traveling time 15 minutes. Train tickets costs 3,60 euros. More information about traveling by train can be found at NS.

From Amsterdam Central Station by Public Transport:

    • Tram number 25 (direction Passenger Terminal Amsterdam) Leave Tram at stop “PTA”. Traveling time 4 minutes.
    • Tram number 26 (direction IJburg). Leave Tram at stop “Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis”. Traveling time 6 minutes.



Making reservations at the Mövenpick Hotel using conference rates

There is a group code for participants of the ICCD conference. The group code is: "ICCD 2010".

The procedure is as follows:

  • Go to the Mövenpick Hotel website
  • Click on “Reservations” on the left side of the screen. After this you will see the following screen:

  • Enter "ICCD 2010" in the "Group code" field
  • Click on the "Continue" button to continue your booking

Please note that the room block for ICCD 2010 is only for the nights of the 3, 4 and 5th of October 2010. For additional nights you can make another reservation but then we cannot guarantee availability and the same rate.
